Accessibility

We want this website, and the stations themselves, to be usable by the people who live, work, and visit where they are placed.

The website

Our target for this site is WCAG 2.2 level AA. While building it we checked that:

  • every page, menu, and form works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline;
  • the text, navigation, and forms work without JavaScript, and the illustration falls back to a still picture with a written description;
  • animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion;
  • text and controls meet contrast requirements, and the bright green is only used behind dark text;
  • form errors are explained in words, not only by colour.

These were checks made during development with automated tools and manual keyboard testing. The site has not been independently audited.

Known limitations

  • The placement illustration is a drawing. Its content is described in text next to it, but fine details of the drawing are not.
  • If a form does not work for you, email works just as well.

Report a barrier

If something on this site or at a station is hard to use, email [email protected]. Tell us the page or machine and what happened. We can also send the information on this site in another format.
